Dear Children,
In BOOKS FOR CHILDREN OF THE WORLD: THE STORY OF JELLA LEPMAN, Jella's fondest wish was to establish the International Youth Library in Germany after World War II. Jella believed that books in different languages could serve as bridges to peace. Today, the International Youth Library continues to carry out Jella's mission.
Can you think of other objects or activities that could serve as peace bridges? Please email me at peacebridges@storypearls.com with your ideas. Let me know your age, fiirst name, and name of your town or city. Check back at this website to see your idea posted along with the ideas of others!
Sincerely,
Sydelle Pearl
